Power outages
I'm 3023 words behind on my novel. I did about 2000 today, which is a HUGE plus, but the main reason why I'm so behind (aside from the fact that I have no freakin' ideas!) is the fact that our power was out.
That's right, you heard me. The power was out. From 7 PM Friday until almost noon today, we had no power at the house. What's that you say? Did the storm knock it out?
NOOOOOO! The skies were clear and sunny all day yesterday. Maybe a little chilly, but certainly not anything that would knock out the power.
Apparently, some brain surgeon decided to drive into a power pole. Ok, he/she probably didn't *mean* to do it - and I hope there are no permanent injuries involved. But for whatever reason, this person's car ended up making REALLY good friends with the power pole. How good, you ask? Good enough to knock out the power in the ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD (several square MILES) for nearly a full day.
Therefore, there was no novel writing to be had last night.

Aren't you happy that toilets don't require electricity? No electricity really sucks tho.
I am so happy that you are back on target for nanowrimo!
I assure you, I would never post anything confidential without first disclaimering it as confidential. Plus, my weekend hit count drops to three, you, sassy, and I (well, there is also my stalker friend boideeboy, but stalkers don't count).
BTW - *confidential discussion here * The CD with 17 tracks is as great as the site with 3 tracks :D Much fun! Much Thanks :D
BTW2 - You're awesome :D

Yes, I'm definitely happy that neither toilets NOR showers require electricity. I wouldn't have been nearly as pleasant to be around today if that hadn't been the case...
I had a great time this afternoon :D I'm still behind on my word count tho. Hopefully tomorrow will be filled with ideas and therefore word count!
Glad you enjoyed the CD :D Hopefully there will be another one in the next several months...

Any by the way... regarding the posting that you deleted (yes I saw it) Here was my comment that wasn't able to post because you removed the post ....
Anything but that
This is weird
It's weird
Very weird
Fuckin' weird
I'm so mad
That I don't know what to do
Fighting with microphones
Freezing down to my bones
And to top it all off
I'm with you
Feel like going insane?
Got a fire in your brain?
And you're thinking of drinking gasoline?
As a matter of fact --
Honey, I know this act
It's called the 'Tango Maureen'
Yes - I do love it!

Hehe! I was just checking to see if the "email to" blogging function worked. After all, I need yet ONE MORE way to slack off at work...... and if I can email my blogs directly, so much the better! Hmm......
